Convert between major world currencies in seconds. This calculator uses the European Central Bank’s daily reference rates (via Frankfurter) and shows the date the rate was last updated. Perfect for quick lookups and budgeting.
⚠️ Note: Reference rates are indicative and can differ from your bank/card
Banks, card networks, and money transfer apps usually add a spread/markup and may use intra-day prices. The ECB reference rate is a once-daily snapshot for information and comparison.
This tool lists the currencies published by the ECB. Some exotic or less-traded currencies aren’t available. If you don’t see your currency, it’s likely not in the ECB set.
How often are rates updated?
Once per working day, typically around 16:00 CET. On weekends and EU holidays, the latest working day’s rate is shown.
2) Are these rates live/real-time?
They’re daily reference rates, not tick-by-tick market quotes.
3) Why can’t I find Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) or another currency?
The ECB publishes a specific set of currencies. If a currency isn’t in that set, it won’t appear here.
4) Why is my bank’s price different?
Banks and payment processors can add a spread/fee and may use intra-day rates. This tool is for informational purposes.
5) Can I use this for checkout or accounting?
Use it as a guide only. For invoices or settlements, rely on your payment provider’s official rate.
6) What’s the data source?
European Central Bank reference rates, delivered via the Frankfurter service.
